We have the pleasure of presenting the Kit of the Divas, the solidarity Diva Beanie.
We will donate 10% of the proceeds of the Diva Beanie to Breast Cancer research via the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Their objective is to help and inspire hope in those who are affected by breast cancer through early detection, education, and other support services.
What is Breast Cancer?
Breast Cancer is a malignant tumor that originates in the breast cells. The cancer occurs when cells begin to reproduce out of control. Cells in almost any part of the body can become cancerous and then can spread into other parts of the body.
This disease occurs almost exclusively in women, but can also be seen in men. However, breast cancer in men is infrequent, with only 2,190 cases diagnosed annually. It is currently the second largest cause of death in women.
Early Detection
A program for early detection includes a monthly self-examination and regularly scheduled breast exams and mammograms.
Diagnosis
Breast cancer can be diagnosed in multiple ways, including mammograms, ultrasound, MRI, and biopsies. There are different stages and types of breast cancers and many myths and misinformation surrounding them. If you are unsure, it is better to ask any questions in order to resolve any doubts that you may have.
